This gorgeous 1968 QQ1 Electric Blue roadrunner was originally ordered as a race car in 1967 by a fellow named Gene De Freitas through Universal motors of Honolulu HI. We have the original sales slips, original window sticker, original hand written payment schedule, and original credit union payment stubs. We also have a number of original letters dated from 1967 through 1968 from Gene to various companies throughout the U.S. for ordering his helmets, car trailer, racing log book and various other goodies needed to go racing! On top of all this there is complete owner history including various letters, receipts and some other items included in a 2 inch think binder documenting this cars history. We have original "as raced" pictures of this car and even a receipt for the lettering stick used to mark the 1/4 mile times on the cars window. I have never seen a more well documented car.
This Runner has undergone a cosmetic restoration earlier in it's life and it still shows excellent! It has a very nice, clean, solid body. All chrome trim and bright-work is in very nice condition. The interior is also in very nice condition.
The complete under carriage, including the frame, floors, trunk, trunk extensions, torsion support, bracing and all other components are solid as a rock... Just as you'd expect from a 6482 mile car that has spent the better part of life in Hawaii!
The car runs and drives excellent, the 426 Hemi engine and 727 Heavy duty Automatic transmission are the original numbers matching driveline!
The car has it's original fender tag and all body stamps match.
A Galen Govier visual inspection and complete report has been done on this gorgeous original QQ1 Electric Blue Hemi Roadrunner. Overall it is in excellent condition or an easy 85 -90 out of 100. This car would make an excellent addition to any collection. As with any 30 year old classic that has been enjoyed, there may be a few minor flaws, nicks, scratches to be expected.
If you have any questions or would like to make arrangements to see the car in person, you can email or call anytime up till 11 pm e.s.t.
